Please share a memory of Doris to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Doris Joanne Wilson (McConnell) was welcomed peacefully into heaven on November 11, 2024, just days before her eighty-first birthday. Doris was born November 16, 1943 in Spokane, WA to John and Naoma (Jameson) McConnell. She was the thirteenth of fourteen siblings, raised on their family farm near Cheney, WA. Doris lived her life serving others. Her early years were spent in many caregiving roles but it was her later years in life that she found her true calling, being a grandma. Doris adored her family. She enjoyed cooking, thrifting, daily soap operas, crafting, spending time with loved ones, and of course her favorite, fried chicken. Her selflessness was one of her many beautiful qualities. Doris was always willing to lend a helping hand and had a natural way of making everyone feel special. Her presence on earth will be deeply missed. Doris is survived by her brother, Don (Margeret) McConnell of Las Vegas, NV; her children Shawn Dale of Stanley, WI; Mary (Tim) Barbeau of Spokane, WA; Dan (Courtney) Dale of Cheney, WA; Josie Campbell(Kevin Arlt) of Ritzville, WA; her grandchildren, Kelsey and Jaden Dale, Andrew Claar, Zachary (Heather) Slaaen, Austin McKeen, Jesse and Amelia Dale, Kelsey (Nathan) Knodel, Haley (Jarod) Marecz, Brian (Madison) Campbell, her great-grandchildren, Tatum and Peyton Slaaen, Campbell Marecz, Kade and Callie Knodel, and several treasured nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, father and numerous brothers and sisters.
