Obituary of John J Cook

The Cook family lost their beloved husband, father, and grandfather, John on October 5th, 2024.
He was born June 16, 1942 in Peoria, IL to John and Thelma Cook. He spent most of his childhood in Arizona. After attending Flagstaff High School he joined the Navy in 1959.
He married his high school sweetheart Carol in 1963 and they were married for more than 60 wonderful years. They were blessed with three sons, John, Charlie and Mike.
He was a wireman welder and enjoyed teaching welding to young people. His family loved traveling to many parts of the US with him for work. His favorite job by far was being a grandfather.
John was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. After he retired, he moved to Ritzville and joined St. Agnes Catholic Church, where he enjoyed the fellowship of so many wonderful people he met there.
He is survived by his wife Carol of Ritzville, sons John (Marge) of Phoenix, AZ, Charlie (Erika) of West Richland, WA and Mike (Hayley) of Ritzville, WA, granddaughters Bailee Cook, Megan Sierra (Indy), Madeline Cook and grandson Dillon Cook. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Thelma, his in-laws, Charles and Chrystal Fauset and his little sister Linda.
He will be fondly remembered by his immediate family, sister-in-law, Cathy Mullenax, brother-in-law Chris (Renee) Fauset, many nephews and two nieces, and his numerous friends.
As we bid farewell to John - let us carry forth the love and the laughter that he has brought into our lives.
