Brent Douglas Steffen, aged 62, passed away in his home in Ritzville, Washington on June 26th, 2024. He was a beloved father, husband, and Grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Brent was born on January 10th, 1962 to Russell and Vivian Steffen in Waterloo, Iowa , where he spent his formative years. He was the youngest of 6 boys. He attended Reinbeck High School in Iowa and later became a Board Fabricator and Quality Control Technician at Mervin Manufacturing in Carlsburg, Washington. In 2013 he and his family moved to Ritzville where he returned to work as an Auto Body Mechanic at Landcraft Repair where he worked until retiring in 2019. Upon retiring he spent his time as a full time Papa.
Brent was a devoted sports fan. He loved
the Mariners, Hawkeyes and Redskins, always watching their games whenever possible. He shared this passion with his son and grandson.
More than anything though, he was a family man. He loved spending time with his family, sharing stories, and watching their favorite TV shows. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
In his later years, Brent donated to multiple charities and organizations for animals, veterans and children. He was a truly caring and generous man.
Brent was preceded in death by both of his parents, and his oldest brother Joe Steffen but is survived by his loving wife, Darcy Steffen his children, Brad
Holloway (step son) and Nick Steffen, his grandchildren, Austin Holloway, Chloe Holloway, Clayton Steffen, Clayton's mom, Michelle Haggart, his Brothers, David, Craig, Bruce, and Brian Steffen, numerous nieces and nephews. His memory will be cherished by all those whose lives he touched.
