LaRae Diane Way Obituary

LaRae Diane (Lesser) Way’s love of life didn’t come to an end with her death. LaRae passed away on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 at the age of 78, peacefully at home with her husband. Her loved ones will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

LaRae, a long-time resident of Ritzville, WA, married her husband James (Jim) in 1970 at Alki Beach Congregational, residing in Seattle, WA. The couple moved to Spokane, WA in 1977 and back to LaRae’s hometown of Ritzville in 1979.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to LaRae. She enjoyed being around her family, and she never missed a Gonzaga men’s basketball game. She and Jim enjoyed annual trips to the ocean, which was her happy place.

LaRae is preceded in death by her parents Conrad Lesser and Zelma Bitterman and is survived by her husband, James; a daughter Ronna (aka Drew); a son, Michael (Melaina); a brother, Torre; a sister, Ronna; two grandsons, Ryan and Xander ; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
