Obituary of Lucile Allred
Lucile Camenish Allred, 87 1/2 years old, died peacefully on January 5, 2011 in Grand Coulee, Washington. She was the eldest of four daughters born to Edwin Charles and Mary Lucile Russell Camenish on August 11, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois during the Great Depression. In 1935, her family moved to Provo, Utah. There she graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA degree in English and minor in French and Spanish. She met and married Lyle Elmer Allred on June 11, 1948 in Provo. She spent over 46 years of her married life living in Othello, Washington. The last 3 1/2 years of residence were in Grand Coulee with her daughter and son-in-law's family.
Her quiet, gracious mannerisms, unconditional love, faithful activity in the LDS Church, and consistent devotion to God will be greatly missed. Her education, talents, and skills prepared her three children for life. She was an avid reader, loved music and flowers, and recently became a bird watcher.
