Obituary of Kristen K Icenogle
Kristen K Duffey Icenogle of Kettle Falls, WA was taken home to be with our Lord on April 5th 2020. She was born on August 13, 1967 in Portland, Oregon to parents Bernadine and Hugh Duffey. She grew up in and around Salem, OR and played basketball for McKay High School. She lived in California for a short time before moving back to Salem and meeting the love of her life, Steve Icenongle in 1988. They were married in 1990 and welcomed their little girl Destiny into the world soon after. Steve had two children from a previous marriage, Travis and Dana, whom Kristen considered as her own. They started a mobile home moving business and moved to Silverton, Oregon in 1992 where they lived for eleven years. They closed their business and moved to Kettle Falls in 2003 to a beautiful piece of property above the Kettle River. Kristen and Steve both went to work for North Star Enterprises as traffic controllers. Kristen became a Traffic Control Supervisor and she and Steve traveled all over the state of Washington. They worked hard and loved to vacation on the Oregon Coast whenever they could. Kristen loved the ocean and always enjoyed dropping in on family in the area. Kristen loved her family beyond words. She was so smitten with her grandchildren and loved to tease them and take them places. She loved to go fishing and riding the four-wheelers with them. She took care of everyone around her. She always knew what everyone needed and did her best to provide it. She made everyone around her feel important. She had great compassion for people (as well as animals) and would often give away her last dollar to help someone. She always had a smile and a hug. She was the kindest, loving and most generous person. She was preceded in death by her father Hugh, mother Bernie, brother Kevin, and nephews Zak & Chance Taylor. She is survived by her loving husband Steve, her beautiful daughter Destiny (Lynn) Rose, daughter Dana (Danny) Blom, son Travis Icenogle, grandchildren Ameekha, Blake, Matthew, Jack, Miley, Hunter and baby girl Charlee. She is also survived by her sister Keli (Keith) Taylor, brothers Dennis Duffey and Mike Duffey as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She will be deeply missed every day until we see her again upon the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ whom she relied upon daily. A celebration of her life will be held on May 17th in Silverton, Oregon at the Silver Falls Chapel. To leave online condolences for the Icenogle family please visit our website at www.danekasfh.com
