Velda  Ailene Herzog  (86) passed away October 23rd, 2019 comfortably in her room at Fairview Assisted Living in Spokane, Washington. She was born June 3rd, 1933 in Streetman, Texas to Emmett and Lura Catlin. She lived in Texas until the mid 60’s when her and her children relocated to Fremont, California where she met her husband Bill Herzog. She retired to Ritzville where she spent many summers watching her grandkids and had a lot of time with family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, and entertaining during the holidays. She was an active member in the Baptist church for many years. She is survived by her daughter Dian, son Ken, Sister Ina, and her grandchildren Sabrina, Kyle, Kailey, Lara, Randi, Owen, and Elliott. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her daughter Venisa, her mother and father Lura and Emmett, her brothers Godfrey, Ed, and Dan, and her granddaughter Tabatha.
