Obituary of Jack V. Cross

On Thursday, October 10, 2019, Jack V. Cross, Sr, loving husband and father of five children, passed away at the age of 81. Jack was born on May 18, 1938, in Danville, Ill to Cecil and Ruby (Goebel) Cross. He received his Bachelor of Science from Andrews University in 1972 and his Master of Education from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1987. He was a Teacher, Master electrician, and General Contractor. On May 20, 1956, he married Elizabeth Anne Geer. They raised three daughters, Via, Nora, and Sara and two sons, Jack Jr, and Leonard. Jack had a passion for helping young people reach their fullest potential. He loved the outdoors and all that it entailed. He was a master storyteller always making sure that there was a moral to the story. He was a master carpenter and was interested in solar energy long before it became popular. Jack is survived by his wife and five children, and his sibling Patsy Laughtenslauger, Leonard Cross, Darlene Levine, Diane White, Janice Taylor, and Judy Taylor. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville, WA. At 4pm. The family is requesting no flowers be sent.
