I was so sorry to hear of Great Aunt Mary's passing. My Dad, Larry Wood is Mary's nephew. Great Uncle George and my Grandma Wood (Ruth Whitaker) were brother and sister. Our family had the privilege of a long summer vacation in 1975 and were blessed to spend a week with Uncle George and Aunt Mary. Aunt Mary and Uncle George were so loving and welcoming to us. I remember having delicious home cooked meals outside the Airstream at the picnic table. Aunt Mary taught my Mother, Diana Wood, how to bake homemade bread while we were there. We always thought of Uncle George and Aunt Mary after that whenever Mom would bake fresh bread. In 1977 Uncle George and Aunt Mary came back to Indiana for a visit. I remember how my Grandma cried with joy at seeing them because it had been many, many years since they'd seen each other face to face. It truly was a blessing from God because Uncle George passed away the next year. Mom and Dad kept in steady contact with Aunt Mary as well as Linda and Maureen. My condolences to your family on the loss of a beautiful, loving Matriarch. We will soon lay her to rest next to Uncle George in Hall, Indiana on October 24, 2018. Blessings to you.... Lori Wood
