Obituary of Delores Foss

Foss, Delores (88) entered into rest April 16, 2014 in Ritzville. Delores was born July 11, 1925 in Roseau, MN to Stella (Praska) and Carl Lien. On October 30, 1944 she married Daniel Lynn Foss in Roseau, MN. Together they had 5 sons and 3 daughters: Lynn, Clifford, Dan, Richard, Robert, Rose, Alice and Ernie. In 1967 they moved to Ritzville, WA where Delores worked at the Circle T Inn until retirement. She frequently provided childcare for many local children. She lived independently until 2009 when she moved to the Life Care Center. It is here that Delores became fond of playing bingo, even up until the night before her death. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel and her twin sons Richard and Robert who died at birth. Survivors include her twin sister, Delia Helgeson of International Falls, MN, 3 sons: Lynn of Arizona, Clifford of Richland, WA, Dan of Texas; 3 daughters: Rose Gallagher of Kennewick, Alice Davis of Kennewick, and Ernie (Dave) Chandler of Walla Walla; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday April 21 at 10:00 AM at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Ritzville and followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Life Care Fourth of July Fireworks Display. Danekas Funeral Home-Ritzville is entrusted with arrangements.
