Obituary of Robert Edwin VanVleet
Robert Edwin VanVleet was born March 24, 1949 in Ritzville and entered into rest May 7, 2017 at his home in Ritzville. Robert was the second youngest of six sons born to Guy and Catherine Louise Principato VanVleet. After finishing his education in Ritzville, he joined the Peace Corps in Indiana. He later worked in Seattle for Locke Shipyard as a welder. He returned to Ritzville and cooked for Templin’s Country Corner, retiring after 20 years. Robert is survived by his mother, Louise, his daughter, Laura Marie, and his brothers: Dale, Ronnie, Nathan and Terry. Robert was preceded in death by his father, brother, Chester Jopseph and son James Morris. Visitation will be Thursday May 18, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM at Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville. A graveside service will be held at the Ritzville Memorial Cemetery on Friday May 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM; after which family and friends are invited to share memories of Robert at the home of Leslie Adams at 1224 North VanVleet Road.
