Obituary of Roger Dean Jantz
JANTZ, ROGER DEAN
AGE 78
Roger Jantz was born November 1, 1938, to Leonard and Iva Schrag Jantz in Ritzville. He passed on to his Heavenly home on April 28, 2017 following a courageous battle with cancer. He graduated from Ritzville High School in 1956. His further education included attending Bethel College, Grace Bible Institute, Wichita State University and Eastern Washington University . After receiving his teaching certificate he taught at the Othello School District for two years. He completed a year of Voluntary Service at Brook Lane Farm in Maryland and worked a number of years at Ritzville Life Care Center as a nurses aid and assisted with physical therapy. He also worked for a number of farmers in the area. Roger loved sports and in his later years enjoyed golfing with a small group on Mondays. He was a member of the Menno Mennonite Church and a devout Christian. He studied and followed the scriptures of his Lord and Savior throughout his life. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Larry, and a sister Joy Benzel. Left to cherish his memory is his brother Gary, niece Dione, and nephew Jeffrey. A Memorial Service will be 11:00 am Saturday May 27 at the Menno Mennonite Church in Ritzville. A private interment service is planned.
