Obituary of Angeline Steinmetz
Steinmetz, Angeline F. "Babe" (96) died October 9, 2011 in Ritzville. Babe was born to George and Mary Lange Gleich on June 27, 1915 in Paha, WA. She had seven sisters and three brothers, all deceased. She married Alex Steinmetz in 1931 and they celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in April 2006. Alex passed in September 2006. They had three sons: Larry and wife Eleanor of Liberty Lake, Lonny, deceased, and wife Sharon of Moses Lake, David and wife Barbara of Ritzville; 10 grandchildren (1 deceased), 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Babe worked at the variety store in Ritzville for 14 years and babysat her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to crochet afghans. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 5:00 PM Friday October 14, 2011 at Danekas Funeral Home-Ritzville. Burial will be Saturday October 15, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Ritzville followed by a Memorial Service Saturday October 15, 2011 at 11:30 AM at Danekas Funeral Home-Ritzville. Memorials are suggested to Emanuel Lutheran Church in Ritzville. Condolences may be left at www.danekasfuneralhome.org
